AESSEAL and global energy technology company Baker Hughes have entered into a strategic supplier agreement.

Mechanical seals, bearing protectors, seal support systems, spare parts and repairs of the mechanical seals that will specifically support Baker Hughes’ Centrifugal Pumps Product Line will be supplied.

AES Engineering general manager Jim Hamilton said:

We are delighted to collaborate with Baker Hughes, who share the same values as the AES Engineering Group of companies. This agreement aligns AESSEAL’s superior oil and gas sealing technology with a highly engineered pumping equipment manufacturer for the critical energy and industrial sectors, which can only be a good thing for the environment and the end customers of the total equipment package.

The contract is an AESSEAL plc and Affiliates agreement, which means it is worldwide.

Global bearing protection director Aaron Stephenson said AESSEAL will supply the seals, allowing Baker Hughes to integrate the product as part of their centrifugal pump solutions for the energy and industrial sectors.

Training is currently underway and to fully complete the agreement AESSEAL is cooperating with Baker Hughes - who will audit the process – to receive the Qualification Order.

"This is a first for AESSEAL and Baker Hughes, and it took a lot of teamwork to get it over the line,” added Aaron, who thanked AESSEAL Italia general manager Andrea Muratori, OEM sales manager Liam Peacock, general counsel Charlotte Peel, legal counsel Angelika Jankowska, and IP formalities officer Christine Chan.
