We couldn’t ask for a more perfect way to end National Apprentice Week, than by receiving the news that two of our apprentices scooped top honours at last night’s RNN Group Apprentice of the Year Awards.
As an advocate for the modern apprenticeships – and the growth of talent through continual professional development, here at AESSEAL - we actively support and encourage all our apprentices within every department of our business to be the best they can be - and applaud their efforts so far on their respective courses. We are especially proud of the achievements of Ben and Molly at last night’s prestigious awards event – picking up the overall regional award for Apprentice of the Year in their respective categories.
Ben Lingard, Facilities Apprentice said:
Joining AESSEAL as an Apprentice in 2019 and learning my trade via the RNN has been both an enjoyable and educational experience for me. Along with great support from the business, I have been very fortunate to have had the support of an excellent manager and mentor, who has helped me grow and develop whilst gaining confidence in a wide range of areas both personally and professionally. In addition, I have been afforded the opportunity to undertake extra learning and development which has added to my knowledge, skills and experience so to add further value to the business. Within the remit of my role this has been extremely valuable during the global COVID pandemic. Now more than 2 years since I started at AESSEAL, I feel incredibly grateful of the opportunities the business has given me. I am absolutely delighted to have won the ‘RNN overall Apprentice of the Year’ award last night. For myself, and other equally deserving apprentices, to be publically recognised for our hard work and dedication is very rewarding, and I am grateful to the RNN for organising such a great evening to recognise this achievement. I would also like to thank AESSEAL, my manager and our apprentice co-ordinator for supporting my learning journey, and giving me the very best chance to maximise my potential. As I finish my own apprenticeship, I very much look forward to supporting the new cohort of apprentices, whilst working on my own continual professional development.
Molly Fletcher, Legal Apprentice went on to say:
I started my apprenticeship at AESSEAL 14 months ago, I have been in the process of completing my Business Administration Apprenticeship with the RNN Group in the Legal team. By continuously developing my legal and commercial knowledge both at work and through my apprenticeship course, it has enabled me to assist with and take on more complex matters confidently with minimal assistance. I was delighted to be invited to the RNN Apprenticeship Awards 2022 where I was awarded Business Apprentice of the Year which I am most grateful for. Receiving this award indicates to me that my work and dedication is recognised and appreciated across the business, and motivates me to work to the best of my ability to progress and achieve my future goals.
When asked about the apprenticeships and last night’s accolades, Darren Jones, AESSEAL Apprentice co-ordinator said:
Apprenticeships at whatever age in life they are embarked upon as a continual professional development pathway, have and continue to help AESSEAL grow and develop a motivated and skilled workforce for the future operating environment. These much sought-after accolades from the RNN Group are a significant achievement for any apprentice, and I extend my congratulations to all winners last night. In a cohort of over 80 RNN apprentices within AESSEAL, Ben and Molly have both excelled within their respective roles by going above and beyond to add value to the business. They are a credit to AESSEAL, and we are lucky to have them in our organisation.
