Now in its seventh year, and with an aim to change the traditional view of apprenticeships by promoting the achievements of some of Rotherham’s superstars of the future, AESSEAL was delighted to have two finalists in Rotherham’s 2022 Apprentice of the Year awards.

At a ceremony on Thursday 1st September, Emily Allen, a former Level 3 Business Admin Apprentice in our Commercial and Despatch department won Rotherham’s Advanced Apprentice of the Year award for 2022, whilst Molly Fletcher, former Level 3 Business Admin Apprentice in our legal department was a runner up finalist in the same category.

Emily Allen Advanced Apprentice award

As an advocate for the modern apprenticeships – and the growth of talent through continual professional development, here at AESSEAL we are passionate and actively support and encourage all our apprentices within every department of our business to be the best they can be - and applaud their efforts so far on their respective courses. We are especially proud of the achievements of Emily and Molly at the prestigious awards event.

Emily Allen, Despatch Apprentice, said:

Joining AESSEAL in March 2021 as a Despatch Admin Apprentice, I have undertaken a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with The Source. A year later and I have completed my course and given the opportunity to become Despatch Lead, allowing me to look after my own team of administrators at the age of 20. Throughout my time at AESSEAL I have been given various internal and external training to help me develop within my role. I am now working between the Commercial and Stores department helping to reduce internal errors to improve on our customer service. I would recommend an apprenticeship at AES as there are so many opportunities to grow within yourself and in the business.

Molly Fletcher, Legal Apprentice, said:

I started my apprenticeship at AESSEAL 21 months ago, I have completed my Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with the RNN Group in the Legal team. By continuously developing my legal and commercial knowledge both at work and through my apprenticeship course, it has enabled me to assist with and take on more complex matters confidently with minimal assistance. Being a finalist in the Rotherham 2022 Apprentice of the Year Awards, indicates to me that my hard work and dedication is recognised and appreciated across the business, and motivates me to work to the best of my ability to progress and achieve my future goals.

Each new generation of apprentices who join us at AESSEAL bring something new, different, and exciting to what we offer as a global company. Working with such a diverse range of talented individuals, we are proactively helping to grow and develop a motivated and skilled workforce that will help us continue to shape, reshape, and remain as a world leader in an ever-changing marketplace.

We offer a range of apprenticeships across the entire business; from engineering to warehousing, and everything in-between – why wouldn’t you want to consider an apprenticeship with us.
