Short Cartridge Mechanical Seal
Building on the success of a patented “universal joint self-aligning system”, the SCUSI™ development incorporates improved third-generation self-aligning technology.
With the aid of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), a range of seals were designed to optimize the use of silicon carbide. The third-generation seal incorporates an improved self-aligning concept and prevents shock damage to silicon carbide on start-up, which is the most significant reason for silicon carbide damage in other seal designs.
