Rotherham based global mechanical seal and support system manufacturer AESSEAL® are working alongside local government to secure investment in the local region.
In 2021 the company has helped secure investment from the £3.6 billion Town Fund set aside by central government. Rotherham Metropolitan Borough have been awarded £31.5 million to contribute to a number of projects within the region.
The list of projects to progress is still to be finalised but includes:
- Development of the Riverside Quarter
- The Leisure & Cultural Quarter
- The mainline station
- Eastwood housing and connectivity
- The Templeborough Business Zone
The company is also supporting a bid to create a South Yorkshire Institute of Technology.
The Institute of Technology is intended to bring together employers with the best existing provision in further education and universities, to plan design and deliver higher technical education that will hopefully drive economic growth and boost productivity.
Other employer supporters of the bid include WANDisco, HLM Architects and Engie.
